CANADIAN VS. U. S. SPELLING
For the most part, Canadian and American spellings and pronunciations are unfortunately merging--that is to say, becoming more and more American. The reasons for this change are largely these: television, movies and Canadian text books published in the U. S. While I'll not deal with pronunciation here, I have collected enough examples of the different spellings for you to be able to generalize which country does what. Then I suggest that, rather than worrying about who spells what how, just try to be as consistent as you're able with one style or the other.
